Chelli Draughon

Chelli Draughon, a seasoned financial advisor, joined First State Bank’s Investment Banking Division in November 2023, bringing a wealth of experience from her successful investment business in Kaufman, Texas. Raised in a military family, Chelli’s diverse upbringing, starting school in Upper Heyford, England, and earning her Bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, has enriched her understanding of varied life perspectives – a quality invaluable in financial planning.

Her journey in finance began in high school, inspired by her Ag teacher, Burk Bullock, and her early role at First National Bank of Winnsboro. This diverse experience has given her a profound understanding of the financial industry from the ground up. Passing her Series 66 and 7 exams in 2012 was a stepping stone in helping numerous clients plan for their futures.

Chelli’s approach to financial advising is deeply personalized. She dedicates time to understanding each client’s vision for retirement and legacy, ensuring their financial plan not only aligns with their lifestyle but also provides a robust foundation for both challenging and prosperous times.

Apart from her professional endeavors, Chelli is passionate about community service. For over 15 years, she has been actively involved in feeding the homeless in Dallas through Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Her love for animals shines through in her commitment to rescuing feral cats, aiming to provide each one with a loving home.

Living in Phalba with her husband Dwight, Chelli embraces her country roots. From rescuing cats to gardening, her life is filled with purpose and joy, particularly in giving back to the community – a testament to her humble and caring nature.
